Christophe Astolfi born and grew up in France. He study the guitar at 12 years old and béguins his professional career at the age of 17. He played in différents, jazz, rock, blues and musette bands. He learned the Django Reinhartd's music with some italians and gypsys musicians in his region including Tchavolo and Dorado Schmidt.
At 20 years old he moved to Belgium and became one of the most influantial gypsy guitar player in the country. He played with Philip Catherine, Toots Thielmans, Koen De Cauter, Tcha Limberger.
In 2008 he moved to Paris and star to play with Samy Daussat, David Reinhardt, Rodolph Raffalli, Tony Gatlif in the" Djangodrom tour" with Bireli Lagrene, Stochelo Rosenberg and Didier Lockwood.
In 2013 he released a gypsy's waltzes album "Christophe Astolfi joue des valses", voted best album of the years on Djangostation. At the same time he béguins a collaboration with Boulou and Elios Ferré. The trio released an album in 2015 "La bande des trois" and give a lot of concerts in Europe for 3 years
In 2016 he published a pedagogic book totally dedicated to the gypsy's waltzes "Astuces de la guitare manouche volume 3". Christophe is one of the main gypsy's waltzes player . He is regularly invited to give some masterclass around the world.
In parallel he continues his career of jazzman in différents projects.
